I have been part of the Leather Community for 30 years In my hay days I was a Member of The SPMC South Pacific Motor Club in Sydney and The Jackaroos many many years ago and now 2009
I am a member of Melbourne Leather Men come,along and join and meet some new mates held at The Laird Hotel thy hold some fantastic Events like Spit and polish, Southerhibearnation, Vic Bears, Trashy Trivia, Bin Night and 4X4 are just some of the amazing events at the laird as of June I was convenor and founder of NAG! a fund raising group helping people living in poverty with HIV/AIDS sadly With the world economy and lack of sponsors and a recession NAG will not be doing any more events this year if thing change I will be back helping The Laird and The David Williams fund with Fundraising events soon I am sorry to disapoint so many in the community who need our Help
NAG event's have been happening for 20 years all held at Laird Hotel Thy have supporting the Gay and Lesbian Community for 29 years The laird has Supported given to so many and never really get the Community Support it Deserves in The 80's I worked at Club 80 and lived and worked at Club 80 with Jeff Arnold the owner of The Club I really had to have a change of working Nights so I went To Melbourne and fell in love with the city and its people I went back to Sydney and told Jeff that it Needed a Club 80 while he and Ron and Heather looked around for a sight thy found The Laird o Cockpen Hotel now know as The Laird after a few months and helping Jeff Arnold the man who started the Laird O'Cockpen Hotel with the help of Ron Watkins Paul Mathews Reg heather and my self Thy all came down to Melbourne to open The Laird and Club 80 thy were fantastic times good memories and bad after Jeff died of HIV/AIDS Bill Sounders took over as owner and later on with the help of Bill and his fantastic support of Keeping The Laird and Club 80 going and Giving so Much to The Gay and Lesbian Community THANK YOU BILL lets hope with the help of the Leather Community it stays This way enough of me rambling on
